-- Further analyses indicated that the reduced ovarian reserve measured by AMH level was only significantly associated with PM2.5 exposure during follicle development from the primary to preantral follicle stage (Period 2) but was significantly associated with O3 exposure during Periods 1, 2, and 3. These observations were robust in the dual-pollutant model considering co-exposure to PM2.5 and O3. The results indicated an inverse association between ovarian reserve and ambient O3 exposure and suggested distinct susceptibility windows for O3 and PM2.5 for reduced ovarian reserve. These findings highlight the need to control ambient air pollution to reduce invisible risks to women's fertility, especially at high O3 concentrations.

The potent anti-inflammatory effect of immunoglobulin treatment in the early stages of the disease indicates that autoimmunity or auto-inflammation could be essential in KD [10, 11], which one of these factors that are the most important has not been clarified [10]. However, this observation could suggest that KD might be a severe autoimmune manifestation in a child predisposed to other autoimmune diseases later in life. Yet, no long-term follow-up studies have yet investigated this theory.

The Impact of Chronic Ozone and Particulate Air Pollution on Mortality in Patients With Sepsis Across the United States

Conclusion:
Exposure to increased levels of ozone but not particulate air pollution was associated with higher risk of mortality in patients with sepsis. This association was strongest in patients with pneumonia but persisted in all sources of sepsis. Further work is needed to understand the relationship between ambient ozone air pollution and sepsis

This study suggests that MS is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease that is not completely accounted for by traditional vascular risk factors. This review is focused mainly on the vitamin D receptors, the importance of vitamin D as a neuromodulator, the role of vitamin D in the pathophysiology of devastating neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Parkinson's disease and the benefit of vitamin D and its derivates in alleviating these disorders.

Observational studies indicated multiple sclerosis (MS) patients may have a higher risk of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke than the general population, whereas the previously reported findings were inconsistent. Using two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis with genetic data from large-scale genome-wide association studies (International Multiple Sclerosis Genetics Consortium containing 14,498 MS cases, Coronary ARtery DIsease Genome wide Replication and Meta-analysis plus The Coronary Artery Disease Genetics consortium containing 43,676 MI cases and 40,585 stroke cases), we found that MS was causally associated with an increased risk of MI (OR = 1.03; 95%CI 1.00-1.06; P = 0.0243), directionally consistent in the weighted median, MR-Egger, and the MR-PRESSO methods. No causal association between MS and stroke was observed (OR = 1.01; 95%CI 0.99-1.04; P = 0.2974). Therefore, timelier and more effective measures should be conducted among MS patients to decrease the burden of both diseases.

Conclusion: In conclusion, this review underscores the critical need for a thorough understanding of the complex relationship between MS and stroke. The identified risk factors and the influence of MS DMTs on stroke risk necessitate further investigation to inform evidence-based preventive and therapeutic strategies. Bridging the existing information gaps through prospective multicenter studies is imperative for a comprehensive understanding of this association. The development of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for acute stroke risk in MS patients is paramount to mitigate the impact of these debilitating conditions. Ultimately, this review serves as a foundation for future efforts to enhance preventative measures and therapeutic interventions, thereby improving the overall quality of life for individuals with MS susceptible to strokes.
