1- How much does Coimbra Protocol cost per month or year?
2- Is it cheaper than Interferon, Gilenya or Tysabri?
As HUD said it is very cheap compared to conventional treatment and the health insurance make a big difference with the exams (required for each 3 ~ 6 months).
The exact price will depend on a lot of factors -
the price of supplements, the dose of vitamin D, the dose of vitamins and minerals, health insurance plan, doctor appointment price, type of disease, etc.
The doctor appointment is the most expensive thing on this protocol. However, it is strongly necessary. In fact, it is
mandatory. And the price will vary, especially for different countries.
But I'll give an example just mentioning the supplements:
My brother orders most of his supplements in a
Pharmacy Compounding.
He takes 250,000 IU daily/D3. A very high dose.
- 3 bottles of vitamin D3 (with 250ml each) costs R$ 130 ~ $ 41.97 (it lasts almost 3 months)
- Coimbra Supplement with Vitamins & Minerals R$ 300 ~ $ 96.87 (it lasts almost 3 months)
$96.87.13 + $41.97 = $138.84 each 3 months
So, $138.84 x 4 = $555.36
$555.36 per year($46.28 per month) only for the basic supplements.
*Note: patients that take a lower dose will spend less money
If you include DHA 500 it will add $150.00 per year (8 bottles of DHA 500).
Thus, $555.35 + $150.00 =
$705.35 per year($58.77 per month)
Of course, these prices can change for different countries. And if my brother were buying these supplements separately without use a pharmacy compounding the price would rise.
