Is it true that your brain can create symptoms you never had before due to self-diagnosing yourself? That's what my parents told me. I did have most of these symptoms before I knew what MS is. I thought it was paresthesia at first due to the numbness/tingling in my hands but in a day or two I've been having more symptoms so I read about them and that's when I looked up Multiple sclerosis. This was in October last year. I got tested for both vitamin 12 & D recently and both were at normal levels.

The mind can create symptoms, there are different names for this ---- Psychosomatic, Conversion Disorder, Functional Neurological Disorder. It is very possible to research symptoms and/or health issues and the more you read the more you experience the symptoms. Psychosomatic symptoms can happen without the internet or researching.

Can your mind create brain lesions too, even demyelination ones?
