Tinnitus

Hey guys

So I am on that path where things don't get better and the list of issues just grows.

I started taking anti-depressants after being told by my neuro back in early June that I was in a low mood and that wouldn't help my spasticity. Jeez really - I am in a LOW MOOD? What a surprise - take the spasticity away and I will cheer up I promise.

Anyway I went along with it.....And within a week or so I started getting tinnitus. This may be a coincidence - but I stopped taking them - Setraline. It is actually written as a side effect. How did I not see that?

It's been a few weeks and I am still hearing that buzzing.

I'm due to see an ENT person in just over 2 weeks for something that happened last year and have been crazily calling to see if there are any cancellations but sadly none as yet.

It's driving me mad with all the other unresolved issues that have just added to the mix.

Has anyone else experienced this?

J

I have tinnitus (mild), have had it for many years and unfortunately there is no cure.

IF it was caused by the drug you took, perhaps in a short time it will diminish/disappear as the drugs effects wear off.

Thanks Elliot. It's terrible on some days.

I do hope it stops but have read stories online of people who got this after the same drug and are still suffering with it after stopping.

There is a herbal remedy that helps but it apparently inhibits remyelination. Vinponcente...

I also have mild tinnitus. Appeared about 5 years ago when I started some dental work on my jaw. Or b/c of the MS?? My orthodontist has it and has tried several things but to no avail.
