Brain perfusion in MS
In patients with MS, cerebral hypoperfusion was first observed about 30 years ago and it has become evident now that reduced cerebral perfusion, likely due to NVU malfunction and involving both the gray and white matter, is an integral feature of MS pathology. These findings may influence our understanding of the underlying disease processes and be important for future therapeutic considerations.
