Re: Pilates
As I have been doing Pilates three times a week for 20 years, I thought I had seen all the variations. Whilst I have nothing against this Pilates suspension method, there is no way that I would consider it to be Pilates. They are using some modified exercises that come from Pilates but it's not Pilates. Most of the videos I could find were suitable for very experienced and fit Pilates devotees, they were not suitable for people with motor issues. If you started from scratch with existing motor problems or even a degree of stiffness, you would hurt yourself. The Pilates equipment that will help you is apparatus such as the reformer, cadillac, wunda chair, high barrel and the associated extras that go with them. The Pilates suspension method is for very supple people with a well established grounding in Pilates. Stick with vanilla. You're much less likely to hurt yourself.
