Rituxan Found Effective in Subset of PPMS Patients

Post by marcstck »

Here's an abstract from a study that will be presented at the upcoming American Academy of Neurology meetings in April.

In simple terms, it found that Rituxan appeared to impede the progression of PPMS in male patients under the age of 51 who had enhancing lesions.

Unfortunately, I am a male patient with PPMS under the age of 51 who does not have enhancing lesions, and Rituxan has done nothing for me.

At any rate, if you fit the above criteria, you might want to ask your neurologist about starting you on Rituxan...

I'm sorry to hear that we well Marc. I know what it's like from Tovaxin to be holding out hope and then have nothing happen. BTW, I think your wheelchair kamikaze videos are really something.

Yes sorry Mark that you had no results from rituxan. i saw your videos on another message board and also thought they were very cool. I have never been that far north but find it appealing.
