Cancelled my MSS membership today

Post by Onthelake »

And my regular monthly donation. The woman who took my call said she completely understood my position. :? Anyway, I am choosing this route instead of not paying my taxes. :D

I am now putting this money into http://www.angioplastyforall.com.

They have $5400 today and need $10,000 by August to start the Charter of Rights challenge on behalf of all of us.

If you can help, please go to their website.

Thank you and good health to everyone.

Good choice!!! I am appalled by the MSS and their actions and statements so far regarding CCSVI.

I am also canceling my donations and directing that money instead to Dr. Haake's research in Hamilton and to angioplastyforall. However, I am not cancelng my membership. I fear if those of us who believe in CCSVI leave the Society completely, we give them free rein to do what they want on this and other issues.

Friends often ask "What can I do to help?" I tell them "Stop donating to the M.S. Society for now." They are quite stunned at my response, but understand when I tell them why. I suggest they redirect their donations like Onthelake and I did.

Stay Members at Minimum Donation

Post by MarkW »

In the UK the minimum donation for MS Society is 5 pounds per year (about 8 USD per year). You keep your vote in elections and have the right to speak at meetings. This could be helpful in the future, so I am staying as a minimum member.
Kind regards,
