Exactly. The expert panel definitely made too much of it by stating: "Dr. Zamboni acknowledged that the balloon venoplasty treatment does not work for MS patients with progressive disease."


Here's what Zamboni said in the paper. It appears the expert panel intentionally misquoted it. I don't know how you could possibly construe it otherwise.

"The neurologic outcomes in the PP and SP groups
were certainly less significant and promising. However,
because PP currently lacks any effective treatment, the
significant improvement in physical QOL warrants further
evaluation."
