In a recent conversation with Dr. Michael Dake, he stated that in his best estimation over 3,000 patients have been treated worldwide. He has been in conversation/at conferences with the treating doctors from Italy, Kuwait, Poland, Serbia, US, Germany, Egypt and others and added up the numbers.
hope that helps-

Your method of proving something true is having people guess and answer a poll? These antics are not only absurd but irresponsible.

Poll Accuracy

The poll asks people to share their knowledge not guess an answer. My data says 2000 and I have already posted where this data came from. Cheer says 3000 quoting Prof Dake.

These are not 'antics' but sharing data to help pwMS to arrive at a decision.

I have posted before that when 5000 pwMS is reached and verified, MS neuros will be ridiculed if they do not take notice.

Does this tie into the old tried and true layman rule that, despite the lack of objective evidence, an increasing amount of subjective evidence is cause for increasing certainty?
It is at least encouraging that many CCSVI treatment doctors are in conversation/conference with each other. No doubt they are more than aware of the need for "objective evidence", and are working towards the goal of the compilation of such evidence. I think we would all agree that this is what is needed, and that there has not been enough organization or documentation of patients treated to date. I think that this is changing and time will tell how the next phase of this story goes... bring on the clinical studies!

...If you disagree with someone, please succintly state why and let it go at that. Point, counterpoint, counter-counter point, etc. is not useful-- the reality is that after the first disagreement, you will rarely convince another of something they feel strongly about unless you have shocking new information to share. The drawn-out debates also turn people off from reading the messages in the first place. If you really have to get something off your chest, please send that person a Private Message-- there is no need to have a long argument in public...

The question isn't how many people have had the procedure, but rather how many it has helped. People questioned you saying 10% of people continue to progress while 90% have at least halted the progression.

The tracking thread here which is subject to a huge selection bias as most of the posters there are CCSVI true believers still doesn't come any where near to the figures you provided.

And yes Malden, what a cash cow. Now IR's can personally make as much or more than the CEO's of companies like biogen. Like Dr. Sclafani said, IR's can't patent their procedures so they have to always be looking for new ways to treat diseases that are "helpless".

I only know about EuroMedic; I was #515 at the beginning of June, and at the beginning of October, they had done "over 1,000". They are doing 6 per day, 6 days a week.
