Hello,
My name is Peter, I am 29 years old. I have been diagnosed with MS less than 2 months ago. My first and only relapse so far has been a case of optic nuritis. I have been taking Copax. for about 3 weeks.
no major problems with it but last night I missed an injection because I fell asleep after work. Totally a bad move on my part. I have about 2 hours before my regular schedule. Should I inject at this time as normal?
Thank you,
Missed an injection day

I'm pretty sure you are not supposed to take a missed dose if you're coming up on your next injection

Re: Missed an injection day
Peter, I would not worry about missing a dose every so often, it happens to all of us. If I miss a dose I just wait until it is time for my next dose. I have been using Copaxone for about six years now and am doing very well. I take my dose before I go to bed each night, seems to work for me. I think I have missed maybe 12 dose's over the last six years. Good luck, Dave

Don't worry about a missed dose. I have been on Copaxone for 8 years and have skipped many doses during that time because sometimes just because I cannot stand to do another injection. Also there are many people who inject Copaxone every other day. So missing one dose one time is no cause for concern.

I talked to a Dr. after I missed a dose who told me that it was ok to take the missed dose as long as there were 12 hrs in between the missed dose and the scheduled dose. I did not want to risk that injection site carzyness, so I just wait till the next day if I miss one. I have missed 2 in the 6 months I have been on copaxone.
