Hi everyone,

I have mild MS. My main symptom is fatigue. I am now working 4 hrs/day which is fine. This has put financial pressure on the family. My husband is determined to get me to work full time.

I get so tired by the afternoon that I fall asleep. I actually fell asleep while driving on the highway at 1pm. I crossed lanes and almost went in the ditch on the other side. Thank the good lord there was no one in the other lane. It's one thing to kill myself; but another thing if I kill someone else.

My husband feels that as long as I don't drive I should be able to work full time.

He doesn't get it.

How does everyone else deal with this?

As the husband of an MS'er, it is initially difficult to come to grips with the fact that your partner has this very life-changing disease. It is very important that the two of you communicate with each other - you definately have to tell him how you are feeling, we guys do not have crystal balls ( ) and we can't guess what you are going through. He on the other hand needs to understand the disease, he has to read as much as he can about M.S. so he can try and know what's happening to you.

There's no doubt about it, M.S. is a bitch, you both need to accept it and work around it. And hey, you can't do what you can't do and "Villagedad" has to recognise that. All the very best to you both 8) .
