If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Post by Lo »

I need to have some dental work done and keep reading nuggets here and there about reactions to dental surgery. Can someone give me some more information about this? Thanks. :?

I havent read anything about that on here, but it is something I have tried to find out about before I even discovered TIMS.
If you need dental surgery, its mainly because you suffer from periodontitis, which is a cronic infection of the gums. Well we all know what cold and flu and other infection does to MS, and cronic infections is not belived to do MS any favours.
I haven't got periodontitis, but I have a sick tooth and had a root canal done, wich got infected, the dentist hadn't done a very good job of it. New dentist redid the rootcanal, I have also had specialists having a look, and they can't see any infections still active, but the only way to really find out is to have the tooth out. I have been thinking about it for a while, just to make sure. I have read something about i think it was sick tooth syndrom, and bothersome teeth giving you all sorts of problems.
Dentists I have seen, told me to keep my tooth, but I am not sure. I'm a bit reluctant to have it pulled out, no only because I spent quite a huge amount having it saved.

Any info about MS and dentistry would be good. What info have you got so far? Please share.
<div>I have lived with ms for 8 years. The last year has been hell, I've gone from shite to even worse every single month, until my liberation in May. </div>
