Hi folks,

I have "clinically isolated syndrome," which translates loosely into one bout of Optic Neuritis and some numbness and, well, you know the drill.

My GP isn't terribly interested in exploring anything like root causes, Lyme disease, etc. He said I should take it to the UCSF MS Clinic (I have an appointment with them but they're hard to get to and slow to respond). He also mentioned casually that he doesn't keep up on MS literature. Gee, how comforting. He did refer me to a decent neuro, though, who seems to be ok.

So I'm looking for a new GP. One who is a bit more sympathetic and open to exploring possibilities if I wish to get screened for Lyme or try antiobiotics or whatever. Can anyone suggest a doctor, preferably in San Francisco or Marin County?
