If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

How to Choose between Bioness and Walkaide

Post by pondgreen »

I am going to physical therapy, working on foot drop. I am tryng out the Bioness and the PT has said she prefers the Bioness over the WalkAide. So many postings on this site seem to favor the WalkAide. Can anyone offer advice on making the choice other than cost? Thanks

I have the Walk-Aide. It is a simple cuff that holds the walkaide device. It goes on your leg just below your knee. It's programmed specifically for you. Initially proper placement was an issue for me but I caught on quickly. With the new replacement cuff that I'll be getting next week (they wear out with regular usage) that won't be a concern at all.

I never looked into the Bioness because the extra pieces turned me off. You can wear the walkaide with any shoe or sandal. It's very easy and it helps those of us with vanity issues. Unless you're wearing shorts or a short dress, it isn't noticeable.
