ACL Surgery

Post by Alicia »

Hello,

I have a question. I am scheduled to have my ACL Reconstructed later this month. My doctor wants to do this with an allograft (donor tissue from a cadaver). Will this make my MS go wild?

I have been reading up on the options for this. They can take part of your hamstring or part of your patellar tendon. Has anyone on this board had a successful ACL construction and if so what which tendon was used to reconstruct it? I would appreciate some opinions on my dillema.

Thanks,

Alicia

HI

Sorry, I can't help on the ACL thing but I can tell you that having a general aneasthetic does not do good things for MS. It's weorth preparing yourself a rough time for a couple of weeks after. Sorry :?
