If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

Flare-ups in Fall?

Post by Lainie »

I had been feeling quite a bit improved (especially since started Ampyra) but as soon as the weather changed and Daylight savings ended, I'm suddenly much, much worse.

Anyone else get this with the change in season? Does anything help (like a sun lamp)? I am already taking Vit B, Flaxseed, Vit D, and other supplements. It is really frustrating to barely be able to get through my apt., when I was walking short distances without my cane before.

Yes. Definitely a similar pattern here. (Milder symptoms, but similar story.) I'm beginning to think I should just expect some activity-altering surprise every november.

Absolutely. Over the last six weeks or so it was difficult to walk across the room. Over the last few days I'm starting to regain some of what I thought was gone. It's always a scary feeling because I never know how much I'll get back.

I would suggest to just keep on doing what you normally do and try to work through it.

Who have you been consulting previously? Have you tried telling them about the recent prevailing condition? Don't go for anything without MS professional's prescription.
