Here's an interesting report on a small study in which patients with an uncommon (?) bacterial infection found relief from MS symptoms after antibiotic treatment.

Quote:
"Barnes was among six people with varying ranges of neurological disorders who were tested for a bacterium called Bartonella, which causes cat scratch fever. Scientists were looking for a correlation between cat scratch fever and neurological disorders when they found that all the people in the study had cat scratch fever.

The study participants were treated for Bartonella with antibiotics, and within months they all showed major improvement in their neurological conditions, the study said."

The report is from KSAT TV in San Antonio, dated March 2009: http://www.ksat.com/health/18915077/detail.html?taf=ant
