Hi, I am a 45 yr. old female. I recently, within the past few months have been having alot of trouble with MS like symptoms. Started at work, when I went to walk, my legs were all rubbery, painful to move, and hard for me to get my legs to move at all correctly. I was stumbling into the walls for support, my legs and arms and face went numb..thought I was having a stroke. That episode lasted 10 minutes, second one a few days later lasted 30 minutes, subsiquent ones a few weeks apart have lasted 2 weeks. I have recently had eye problems where my vision got blurry in one eye, and eye pain behind my eye. That lasted 2 weeks. Last night I had the walking trouble again. I have to use a cane to walk when it gets like that. Went to the Neuro Dr. She says it could be MS, but they have to do the ruling out thing. My spinal MRI was clear, no lesions. My EMG test was negitive. I see the results of my brain and cervical MRI July 8th.

My cognitive memory is so bad, I feel so dumb at times. Sexual dysfunction to the point I have NO desire at all. Some bowel and bladder incontinence, and boy is that embarassing. I have always had migraines, but they have came back with a vengence recently after being gone for years.

The feelings in my body, espcially my legs and hands are horrible. I cannot stand anything to touch my skin...it makes me crawl out of my skin. I am soooo intollerant of heat this year, it is terrible.

I know they say if yo think you have MS, do not tell your work. But I had to...it was obvious there was something wrong with me when my walking looked like I was drunk. So far they are OK with it, but we will see the further on down the road. Thanks for letting me join this board :O)

Many symptoms sound like MS but could be something else.

The advice I offer everyone in your position is to take a precautionary approach now which wont do any harm.

A good iron free multivitamin
Vitamin D supplements - 2000-5000 iu a day
Omega 3 fish oils
zinc & magnesium
B vitamins - especially B12

Drink green tea if you can stomach it - very anti inflammatory

reduce milk and dairy intake - inflammatory
