My Journal

Post by Danno »

When I started taking Avonex 6 years ago, my initial package had a book in it called my journal, it had a place to put the date, time, shot location, comfort level, notes, etc. Biogen sent me a bunch more a couple of years ago, I started the last one last week and called Biogen for replacements and they have discontinued them. Anyone have any ideas where I might find a supply?

Danno,

Could you make copies of one of the pages and put them in a binder?

As an alternative, you could also pick up a notebook from an office supply store and make your own journal. I used a small notebook to record the shot location, left or right leg, how much and at what time I took ibuprofen, and if there was anything unusual about the shot, e.g., increased side effects, injection site bruising or bleeding, and any other general notes. Ok, I realize the one about injection site bleeding sounds a little obvious. However, my injections would rarely bleed so when they did, it was notable especially the time that I must have nicked a vein and had to quickly put my finger over the spot in order to stop the flow.
