Has anyone ever heard of MS lowering your platelet count?

I pretty sure RBC are raised due to excess iron. Not sure about platelet count...

I have read that elevated platelet counts can be indicative of chronic inflammation, but that was in children with heavy metal contamination. Not sure if this is applicable to MS.

Here's a report from 2008: Evidence of platelet activation in multiple sclerosis

No, but MS being considered somewhat of an auto-immune disease many people with MS have higher incidences of all sorts of things. ITP could be one of them. I was pointed towards Copaxone because it does not have any negative effects on platelet count. And from time to time my platelet dips down. So put me in the +1 category for MS and strange platelet counts.
