need advice

Post by Scat89 »

Hi everyone,

I'm in need of some advice...I've been having MS like symptoms since last august including heat intolerance, but my MRI's so far have been normal. My first MRI was on a 1.5t machine back in November, and most recent was 2 days ago on a 3t...both exams included my brain and cervical.

I have a follow up scheduled with my neuro towards the end of June, but I'm really kind of lost on what I should do. My neuro thinks it could be something post viral as I did catch a weird virus this past summer...about 6 weeks or so before my first MS symptoms started. I might agree with her if it wasn't for the heat intolerance, which seems to be a very specific symptom to demyelination.

This has been extremely frustrating. What would you all do?

hi scat, as you no doubt know, for my part i'd look at whether you have an ms type nutritional profile. some of the nutrients that are known to be low in ms patients are also antiviral. sorry i haven't searched our past conversations to know what we may already have discussed...

Unfortunately, there are many possible causes for demyelination. There's a (probably incomplete) list in Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demyelinating_disease

RRMS dx 3/3/11; Copaxone since 12/1/11
