Sigh, okay, the latest is that they found a nodule on my thyroid whilst doing an emergency CT scan of my chest and my pneumonia-filled lungs last Friday. And then they did an ultrasound of my thyroid. So now I'm scheduled for I-131 CT test in 3 weeks (they were going to do it in the hospital but it was too close to my other CT scan - my 1st ever!).

I know absolutely nothing except from some quick googling about it. I don't know if I'll have a followup doctor appointment before or after, and it was mentioned that they'll probably do a biopsy (before or after CT??). Need to call the doc to find out. Way too many docs involved in my latest emergency escapade (see pneumonia thread here: general-discussion-f1/topic20438.html )

If anyone has any personal experience to share or good info links about I-131 testing, I'd love to hear about it. Thanks!
