This article isn't so much about MS as it is geeky stuff about collecting and making sense of tons of data. But hey, it's
OK to be a geek and have MS.

The State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo is home to one of the leading multiple sclerosis (MS) research centers in the world. It's one spot where big-data-powered analysis is helping researchers understand potential causes and treatments of the disease, accelerating the race to a cure.

if they know what they are looking for, this may be useful...
for instance, you may wish to analyse large stocks of epidemiological data to clarify the relationship of MS with the Cpn bacteria, data from the Faroer islands might be quite useful here...
but if you don't know what you are looking for, this will lead to nothing...
even with big data, one must have a concept in mind...
