Re: Medicine is broken
exactly, its why i stopped the ineffective shots, now im looking for the primary cause not a secondary cause.
if you and anyone that can read a ebook called "The Gateway to 10,000 Illnesses" by Robert Boyd for $8 from amazon, it may change your thinking

Re: Medicine is broken
this is risky as some may take the link that i'm promoting religion on an inappropriate thread here. although i am a christian and very happy for that--the bible does for those interested talk of "pharma" - even if one chooses to just read the bible as part of history that's their choice and it's very interesting to note what is in the bible and what is going on these days. or you can skip through to the very end and watch a video of a 15 yr. veteran of the pharmaceutical industry.

Re: Medicine is broken
Interesting to hear Dr. Goldacre state that 1/2 of clinical trial results go unreported....mostly because the data in them is not good for the pharmaceutical business. Add the fact that MS is a remitting/relapsing disease, the companies who make the "approved" MS drugs have Orphan Drug Status for them and the MS patients in the trials are mostly at the earlier stages of their disease, it's no wonder I have little or no respect for these companies who try and tell us how wonderful their drugs are.erinc14 wrote:http://www.cbc.ca/thecurrent/popupaudio ... 2336303058

see this book under the link, Chapter 5, Are conflicts of interest hazardous to our health?
it gives some very clear examples where and how things have gone wrong. involving high level politics.
the problem is systemic and persistent.
what is unfortunate is that this book is already from 2005, that we are now almost 10 years later and that nothing much seems to have changed...
