you could maybe figure out little ways to gradually desensitize, make a regular habit of doing something slightly outside your comfort zone for a few seconds, then push the limits slowly over time.
hypno would potentially be like that. eyes closed, edging closer to the situation in your mind, when you start to feel uncomfortable, go to a mental 'happy place' and run through a full body relaxation process, with slow deep breathing. then, go back a few steps in your scenario in your head, and start over, trying to inch closer each time before you bolt to the happy place. mine was the beach
