G.P and mri report

Post by melsywooh »

Hi all
I had my brain MRI at the weekend. The report is going to by G.P. The problem is he didnt understand the cardiologist report, in the end the cardio dr had to fax over the exact medication and further tests to run. I have tried other g.ps at the surgery but they keep sending me back to him. So if my g.p doesnt fully ubderstry and my mri report one in receipt, what will happen ?

Hi melsywooh,

If your g.p. doesn't understand the report, he'll need to consult with a neurologist or MS specialist, especially if you're considering starting a DMD or if the MRI was done to evaluate a current DMD you've been taking.

I'm not a doctor, but I can try to help you understand the MRI report--there might be some things I can tell you about it, such as definitions; for just one example, "high signal intensity" means a lesion has been detected.
