Hi there,
I just had a very weird experience today and am wondering if anyone else has had this. I was walking with my husband and daughter doing some shopping (I walk with a cane, my left leg has A LOT of nerve pain) and all of a sudden I got what felt like a lot of nerve pain in my right hip, then the muscle seemed to spasm and suddenly my hip was turned out so my leg was pretty much side ways. It stayed turned for about an hour then loosened up and now its very sore (probably from being turned out for so long). Has anyone had something like this happen before?

Re: Hip Turning Out?
I have had very similar occurrences, although not in my hip but in upper extremities. Most frequently my hands. I shock anyone around me when it happens because of the obvious distortion. I think it is a muscle spasm that is so severe it causes the muscle to pull at the joint to cause the distortion. Not sure how helpful that is to you, but that is just what I think it is. I do have pain after, just like the pain after a "Charlie horse". Such a cutesy name for such a bad pain doesn't lessen it any.
