Okay so here goes. I've just turned 18 and whilst completing my last and most important year of high school, I developed a bunch of really strange symptoms. These include a severe tremor in both hands and also my legs, although it was primarily in my right hand; difficulty remembering things; random movement in my limbs - I will be just sitting there and then suddenly my foot for example will just suddenly move; this odd feeling like a bouncy ball is bouncing underneath my skin (not pulsating) and extreme tiredness.
Tremor was one of my main symptoms and was incredibly debilitating. There were a number of times in which I was unable to complete school tests, as well as one of my final exams, due to my hand shaking so much - and not because of nerves. Thinking back, I do remember experiencing a tremor about two years ago, although it was no where near as bad as it is now. I am an artist and recently I haven't been able to draw for too long as I simpy cannot hold my pen still.
The first time I visited my GP about it, she asked straight away "is there any family history of Parkinson's?" to which I replied no. She then told me she thought I just had a severe case of Essential Tremor and referred me to a neurologist. Unfortunately this neuro didn't think anything seemed to be wrong and so I was back to square 1. I returned to my lovely GP who seemed quite concerned about my condition and believed there was something legitimately wrong. She spoke to that neuro who believed I must have been stressed, and so I was then referred to a psychologist. $120 later, I was yet again back to where I started after the psychologist told me that I did not seem particularly stressed and that there was most likely something physically wrong. So my GP then referred me to another neurologist who believed there was something wrong, although he couldn't pinpoint it, and sent me for an MRI which came back normal.
In those six months I went to 23 appointments, which sucked. In that time a number of serious diseases were mentioned, including yopd; essential tremor; parietal epilepsy; Wilson's Disease; POTS; myasthenia gravis and fibro.
I have since finished high school and despite being on holidays for over 2 months, I continue to experience all of my initial symptoms to the same extent, which makes me feel as though stress did not contribute to them.
Anyway, I'm just wondering what you guys think it could be? Any help would be muchly appreciated!
