Increased dose of steroids. Need help ASAP

Post by santanabmw »

Hi All, I have posted this on another thread but no replies. I am on the last day of the first batch starting the 2nd batch tomorrow so I need help asap please.

Dexamethasone 2mg x 8 daily for 7 days

then

Deltacortril 5mg x 12 for 4 days
x 8 for 4 days
x 4 for 4 days

Just wondering has anyone else had this high a dose and how soon do you start to feel better. I am on day 7. Any help would be very welcome. I am totally wiped and not feeling better but wondering if this new stronger dose will give me the turnaround? Thank You.

I have no experience with the steroids that you listed. I have used others in the past, with no success.

Please investigate the possible side effects. It has been observed that high-dose corticosteroids or long-term use of steroids increases the occurrence of diabetes. (Steroids raise the blood sugar level.)
My hypothesis: excess insulin (hyperinsulinemia) plays a major role in MS, as developed in my initial post: http://www.thisisms.com/forum/general-discussion-f1/topic1878.html "Insulin – Could This Be the Key?"
