Looks like some progress is being made. The author is from the Institute of Neurology and highly regarded in this field.

It's about time that some of the theories on neuroprotection are actually put into trials. Glad to hear they are imminent and that it is starting with progressive forms. It is vitally important to stop the progression of disablility in Primary and Secondary Progressive. And if it helps those forms, it is bound to help those of us with Relapsing Remitting and open new avenues of research. News like this makes me feel very optimistic.
