Dr. Mercola had an excellent article as to the benefits of Yoga. If you go to the end of the article he has reference much of what he says to scientific journals and other research. Yoga might be worth a try if you are not as healthy as you would like to be. I practice yoga and tai chi every morning.

Ive been meaning to start this at the gym or even home...... just a little too embarrassed ! lol (25 and male)

good call, go for it! at home if the prospect of the gym is a deal breaker, but if not, then defs the gym. the instructor can make corrections you might not have realized were necessary if you were to go it alone. my 2c :)
my approach: no meds so far - just nutrient-dense anti-inflammatory whole foods, and supplements where needed
