New study shows possible link between the Hep B vaccine and Multiple Sclerosis
The link between the Hepatitis B vaccine and an increase risk of multiple sclerosis has been something of concern for a number of years since a increase in vaccinations in France led to a dramatic rise in cases of multiple sclerosis, also called MS. Now a new study being reported by Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis shows the link between the vaccine and the rise in MS cases — and explains what the mechanism may be behind this link, as well as other possible vaccine injuries and further supports older studies that found the same link from back in 2004 by a Harvard team..... Re: Possible link between the Hep B vaccine and MS?
I was told to get my hep B vaccine in 2011 after a routine blood test showed i had no Hep B antibodies (born in 1980, i had not had the vaccine and had never been exposed to Hep B so logically didnt have antibodies). I was told i should get the vaccine (free) and son I did. 1.5-2years after the last jab, i had my first relapse. MRIs showed i had an active lesion in the cervical spine thay explained the relapse and a total of 9 old lesions on the brain.
Neurologist has always ignored this inforation, i definately do not believe it's a coincidence.
Problem is that my daughter received the hep B vaccines when she was born (i had the relapse a week before she was born and was diagnosed a week after she was born), so i wasnt the "expert" that i am.now in MS. My wife is pregnant again and im wondering if this time I should avoid the hepatitis B vacccine for the new born. It seems the link between MS and the Hep B vaccine is strongest in adults.who receive the vaccination. Even so I still am not sure what to...
Any opinions?
Thanks all,
zjac

I had the hepB vaccine when I was 16. My first MS symptoms were at 25.
Re: Possible link between the Hep B vaccine and MS?
I was vaccinated for Hep B in 1999. In the years 2002-2004, I had a very painful sinus, as if I was developing hay fever, always in Spring.
I was in my mid 40's and never had hay fever before.
The naso pharynx was infected and EBV proliferated in the lytic cycle. In 2003, I had physiotherapy for my neck.
Never had physiotherapy before but the neck was awfully painful and stiff.
This was the virus spreading from the naso pharynx through the lymphatic system.
But it did not only go downwards, it went up as well into the cerebral compartment with inflammation of the meninges.
In 2004, I was diagnosed with MS.
The role of the Hep B may be unclear but possibly it weakens the immune system triggering the EBV process in the naso pharynx.
CCSVI is a factor here too because hypoperfusion will weaken the tissue of the pharynx that drains through the IJVs.
With EBV, EBV infected B-cells and herpes infected cells, the whole cascade of MS starts.
I offer this as a theory in competition with the Harvard theory and the vaccine-autism link see http://www.ms-uk.org/vaccinations
