I remember when this news broke in the UK - reports from friends and relatives described the symptoms suffered by the men. One man’s head was said to have swollen massively and his limbs turned purple.

It appears that the participants in the trial may have suffered irreparable immune system damage with a above average chance of developing lupus or other such immunity disorders in the future...
