I like the NMSS as I have said before. Here are some articles from their current magazine. I don't know who Richard Cohen is - but his 87 year old father has MS which must give us hope for a reasonably long life - given the better treatments in the pipeline. And he is the third generation in his family to get MS which suggests to me that genes may play more of a role than currently thought.

The second article is for Jimmylegs and Melody.

The third is about some of the work going on to protect our nervous systems and encourage repair.

The fourth is about the different targets which are being identified in this complex disease.

Hello there, Ian! :D

Yes, I'm still lurking in the backgrounds. I jump on and review the threads on this website every so often. I just don't post. And I guess you could definitely say I'm still involved in the MS cause, but again, much more in the background these days.

I found it coincidental that I was taking a look at the NMSS website apparently at the same time you have been, so I thought I'd pop in and say hello.

How are you?

Ian vitamin D in John's case seems to fit as he had spent years covering up in the sun as he is 1/2 Italian but for some reason didn't want to look like one. His mother's side is Irish. Later on he became heat sensitive so it was impossible for him to go out in the sun. Since he has taken Vitamin D along with his dietary changes and other supplements he can now soak up the rays with the best of us and did all summer. He gets a gorgeous tan so wasted all those years hiding out.

Robbie do you suffer from heat intolerance???? We had a fix worked out for John by running mister's around him(no longer needed) but it allowed him out sitting on the lake front with the rest of the gang.
John was diagnosed Jan 2005. On lipitor 20mg .On Copaxone since July 4,2005. Vitamin D3 2000iu-4000iu (depending on sunshine months)June 10 2005(RX::Dr. O'Connor) Omega 3 as well Turmeric since April 2005. Q10 60mg. 1500mg liquid Glucosamine Nov 2005.
