Hi all,

As many of you have noticed, one of our community members has stepped up recently to help moderate our forums. That member is NHE, and I want to formally introduce and thank NHE for his efforts.

NHE has been with us since late 2004 (has it been that long already?!), and has always been willing to offer a helping hand as well as uncover helpful research for others. He is the type of superstar that typifies This is MS posters-- compassionate, tenacious and never willing to settle for status quo.

There is so much information out there that is potentially helpful to MS'ers, and the intention of This is MS from inception has been to uncover as much of that as possible-- to empower MS'ers with knowledge. And through knowledge, there is hope.

As a volunteer moderator NHE , as time allows, keeps an eye on the forums for things like spam and unproductive conversations. I'm sure NHE would love some help, so if anyone else would like to be considered as a volunteer moderator, simply send me a private message.

OK, that's all I'm going to say. THANK YOU NHE, and thank you, as always, to our amazing community.

Hi Arron or NHE,
I'm not sure where to go with this - but my 2 posts from yesterday ie SF1019 & What I'd do differently both seem to have been deleted, without explanation or even a PM. What happened?
Regards,
Phil.

Hi Phil,

our server was switched sometime last night in a somewhat routine upgrade (timed to avoid heavy traffic)... and a backup copy was made from the old server, then restored on the new server. and it looks like you posted between the time that the backup was made and when it was restored. I'll go fishing and see if I can find your posts. Sorry about that!

Thanks Arron,
I hope you can find them. At least that puts me at ease regarding te content of my posts. I thought I may have been zapped about something. Sounds like this might be a problem related to postings from the other side of the world, within a different time zone.
Regards,
Phil.

Yes, it was a hardware issue and had nothing to do with the content of your posts. As you know, we tend not to perform 'vigilante' post removal at This is MS, and that is especially true with respected posters like yourself.

Could we upgrade the search engine for the forum so that we can search for items more accurately and pretty please can we have a thread search tool to search for words or sentences.

This is going to be very helpful to anyone wanting to learn more about CCSVI for example

Best

Andrew

As many of our regulars may have already noticed, Jimmylegs has graciously agreed to help out with moderating the forums. I would like to personally thank her for her commitment to making ThisIsMS a better community for everyone here. :D

Thanks for taking that on jimmy! And thanks to you too NHE. I promise to mind my "p's and q's"...unless Bromley starts posting again, then all bets are off.

thx NHE, terry and lol dignan & lyon!

until i get the cake thing organized:
Quote:
The Lucky Ladies of 'Seinfeld'
Two words: Jimmy legs. [Sarah] Silverman played one of Kramer's rarely seen girlfriends, who was throwing off Kramer's sleep because her limbs flailed about in the middle of the night. "She's got the jimmy legs!" Kramer told Elaine.
