Tonyjegs,

Are there some antivirals that are marketed to combat diseases of the brain?

With more info that MS may be caused by a virus, is it possible to use a "generic" antiviral and see if it helps tame this disease or would it be necessary to have a more "targeted" med?

GWA,

I know this questions is for Tony but I too am wondering the same thing. I know some on this board are taking Valtrex to cover the viral cause possibility. It seems Valtrex does cross the BBB so in theory if you had a virus in your brain that was responsive to Valtrex it would work. Also, wonder for those who have taken Valtrex or another antiviral - what kind of response have they seen?
