I had an MRI 10 days ago. My Neuro called today and said no new lesions, but the ones you have are more prominent now. Does "more prominent" mean anything? I'm so confused, please explain if you can.

Thanks,

Samantha

Can you get a copy of the written report that accompanies the film? Also, I always get a copy for myself, in a CD, so that I will have it if I go to a new doc. Just a suggestion.

Samantha, how old was the MRI they are comparing this one to? I remember that the lesion in my brainstem was larger when they looked at it 3 months later but the neuro said that could be just how big it finally became when we weren't watching. I had an MRI in July and they compared it to the MRI I had taken in Jan 06 and one of my cervical lesions was more prominent. My neuro only seemed concerned if I had had any increased symptoms.

i'm the same, my last MRI i show no new lesions, some have cleared up a bit, one of them looking a little worse, or, more prominent. i have a cd of my scans too, so i can compare the images and look at the text report at the same time and figure out what they're talking about.
