Hello everyone, I have not posted in quite a while but I need your input.
I am going to purchase a passive exercise machine which I hope will help with spasticity, edema in lower legs, etc. Has anyone ever used a Thera-cycle or do you have other equipment you can recommend..Thanks for any information.

Hi Ga Belle,

Good timing on the question. My local MS chapter support group met last night and our guest speaker was a PT with tons of experience dealing with MS patients. She gave us a few website as resources to look at various exercise equipment. I have no personel experience with any of these and can not vouch for them but at least you'll have other equipment to compare. The web sites are:

www.allegromedical.com
www.exnflex.com
www.motomed.com

Best of luck with you search.

By the way, I grew up in Georgia, but haven't lived there in over twenty years.

Take care,

Jack

Hi Gabelle,

I just purchased a vibraslim whole body vibration exercise machine and I'm finding it to be very beneficial. Please research this piece of exercise equipment. It's very easy to use and very helpful for the whole body. I've noticed its helped with my swollen ankles and has helped with water retention, my legs are more flexible and an increase in my leg strength. They recommend you work on it for 10 to 15 minutes 3 to 4 times a week. It seems to be helping my back pain and my arms. Just do a google search on whole body vibration machines if your interested. Note you can still use this machine if your in a wheel chair like I am. On the days I have the strength I stand on it. I won't give you a specific link to a web page because there are many different companies who provide this equipment. Check your local fitness clubs, maybe they will have one you can try. Good Luck and Let me know how you make out.

Nancy :)
