Generally if you stay flat for 3-4hrs you will not get any symptoms. I stayed flat for 4hrs and had no problem all.

However...5 days after my LP...my lower back and buttocks are so tense and inflamed. It feels like I've been doing lunges and crunches at the gym. I asked the radiologist about it and he said the bundle of nerves is probally extremely inflamed from what he got tangled into it during the first stick. (read above). I think tomorrow I'm going to petition him for muscle relaxers or something else to help ease the tightness down.

yea- I pretty much stayed flat for 24 hours- all day and night. and was fine-
