I would love to hear from somone who has ms and has done a detox and whether or not it is safe. I was diagnosed about a year ago and would love to do a detox but my docter won't call me back so I have no clue if it's safe or not. I have rrms and am in remission right now. Any advice whatsoever would be incredibly appreciated :?

Hi Chicklett- (I used to love those little gum squares!)
My husband did a mild detox after his diagnosis, to bring down liver enzymes and get "regular." He remains on a modified diet (google the Swank diet for more info) and is doing well. He takes milk thistle as a supplement one week every month, to cleanse his liver.

All things in moderation...don't do any of those lemon/ maple syrup/ water detoxes. Especially if you're well and in remission. If anything, eat non-processed foods, lots of organic fruits and veggies, drink spring water and green tea. A probiotic is good for bowel flora, and a magnesium supplement will aid regularity. Look on the natural thread for more ideas.

best to you,
AC
