participating in drugs trials - thoughts?

If it's on your mind and it has to do with multiple sclerosis in any way, post it here.

participating in drugs trials - thoughts?

Post by MrsGeorge »

I have just discovered a local company that are doing trials of new MS drugs and are looking for participants (paying nice money too). What are your thoughts. Has anyone been involved in trials? What are the risks?

Failing that they will still pay money for my blood! I finally found an upside to MS!

I would get as much info as possible from the company before making a decision. Many people throughout the world go into these trials and we don't hear of many dying or having serious problems.

You would join a long list of lab rats from this site!

you need a lot of info. We are here to help. Info is what this site is all about. At the end of the learning, it will still be somesort of guess, but I'd want some sense of certainty about what the method of action is for the therapy. Ken
It would be really nice to be able to put links in here

If I have included a bad link, google the word "Scholar", click link for "Google Scholar". Search for the name of the paper and author in Google Scholar.
