This Is MS Multiple Sclerosis Community: Knowledge & Support

Hello.

I see there have been a lot of posts recently about using Stents to open up apparent blockage that may cause the damaging disease known as Multiple Sclerosis. It has been confusing reading these posts. And, I am having a hard time trying to discern personal opinions and actual objective thought.

I am wondering if someone in the "know" to be so kind to give a brief overview of the theory of this procedure and why some feel that it is beneficial. It would be great to see some unbiased explanation of this type of treatment and its possible advantages/disadvantages.

if you haven't done so already, it probably would be a good idea to read the 'stickies' topping the ccsvi topic, wilson. if there is not an explanation there already, maybe someone will be kind enough to add one for you and others.
