Relapse !

Post by Bibek »

Hi fellow Msers,
I am having a relapse ,I took 3 1000mg steroid (Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate),though feeling better but not any way near the before relapse situation.Does it takes time to show it’s effect ? How long ?.The swelling at my feet ,weakness at the lumber still there preventing walking.I have changed from Liofen XL 20 mg twice a day to normal Liofen 10 mg thrice a day ,can this be a reason ?Any suggestions ?

I was always told that the steroids can take upto six weeks to have their effect, in my experience i normally start to see some improvement albeit slowly within a couple of weeks, and unfortunatley it can take months to recover from a relaspe, but hopefully the steroids should take away the worst of it.

Hope you start to get better soon xx

It took at least 2 months for me to feel improvement and about 6 months for almost full recovery. It is different for everyone though I've heard. Just hang in there and concentrate on the good signs you see. It helps to try and stay optimistic.
