I was diagnosed with MS 5 years ago and have had issues with bladder urgency and frequency. I have been self cathing for several years and certainly have had some relief. I have found that wether I have cathed recently or not, if faced with any anxiety associated with fear of needing a restroom I sometimes have an instant and extreem urgency. I can know that I am virtually empty and if a fear of needing to go and not being near the restroom my bladder will spasm and I can loose what little urine Is there. I can't seem to control it and I know it is mental. I have had two rounds of botox injections to minimize the bladder spasms, with minimal relief. I am wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and found any relief from anxiety/depression meds or anything else. This is certainly my biggest MS related problem and has caused me to change my lifestyle completely. If I could control this better I would have a great deal more options in this life with
MS.

Oh man can I relate. I deal with it completely different now and actually use the protective underwear and it takes away the anxiety completely! Now the thing is you need to get the kind that works best for you and your body type. For me so it's not noticeable at all I use a Tena product for women so it's shaped to fit us better. If I'm at home I can go without of course but if I go out I just slip one on and tada no anxiety, if something happens I know I'm covered! And I have tested this or rather have had accidents and been totally fine!!!

I find spasticity to be a big part of it and if I'm low on baclofen in the system I have a little harder time :( I have trouble releasing sometimes which doesn't help but for me cathing created more problems!

Wish you all the best!

Texas cath's are a godsend too. Whatever you call them, stadium pal, comdom cath, whatever, I flew for 8 hours with one on attached to a legbag and never worried all day and drank to my heart's content!
