Hi ,,, Sorry if this is long but this is whats going on with me . 3 months ago I went in for minor surgery and had a spinal , 3 weeks after the surgery I still wasn't feeling any better . I should of been up and around in 2 weeks . Went back to doc and have had 2 mri's 1 ct scan . They have found what is called demyelination , 2 spots on my pancreas, and I had a reaction to the spinal which has caused inflamation to my spine .The nerves in my body have been playing havoc in my systom. I have been to a nerologest and all of this can cause MS ! I was put on predisone 25 a day for 3 days dosage of 50mgs in hopes this will bring the inflamation in the spine down . Doc didn't want to take the test of taking fluide from my spine as I have been through too much already , he says time will tell if I have MS I go for another CT scan on March 17 for the pancreas , Two weeks ago I ended up in the hospital with a kidney stone . It seems when it rains it pours with me lately .So I have progressed from my wheel chair and now am walking but not too far as my feet go numb , legs tingle and I get a numb band around my waist.

All of this has over whelmed me as before the operation I was running up my flight of stairs and had none of this . my husband has been awsome and friends too but I'm having such a hard time dealing with all of this as I have just retired had all these plans that are now on hold . Sorry if this is a little long but I need to talk right now as it helps me deal with this . Gabby

Hi Gabby,

Sorry to hear you have had such a rough time of things :(

I totally understand how you feel. I had a very similar experience to you when my ms was diagnosed 15 years ago!!! I too walked into hospital and came out in a wheelchair. I am out of that now, but do have to use a stick when my legs become stiff or my balance becomes too wobblly!!!

I hope you get some definite answers soon. Try and keep smiling, sometimes it's the only thing that keeps us going!
