Jake,

Good to meet you. Your fears are my fears - I often make lists of all the things that I won't (or don't think) I'll be doing with my five year old son that I planned to do (teach him tennis, scuba diving, go camping). And the worse thing is watching all the smoking / beer-bellied dads who turn up to my son's (and their son's) football (soccer in the US) each week. The only thing I've really learned from this disease is that life's a bitch and life is cruel. But on the up side (sometimes) I also have hope for the future. A lot of investment is being made to crack this disease so hopefully we will be able to do the things we planned and our children will be proud of us. I like the message from the US MS Society about their recent investment programme:

Promise 2010: Giving people living with MS a future to look forward to rather than a past to look back upon

Keep well.

Bromley
