I'm new here, I've spent a little time at another online MS forum.

My young niece was diagnosed about 2 months ago with MS. She has had optic neuritis, MRIs show a fair number of optic/brain lesions and one spinal, though mostly (following initial steroid treatment) she's been doing well. Her attitude is great, she's thinking creatively about diet (trying mostly whole foods/veggies, for now), and exercising like crazy. She doesn't have a whole lot of patience for talking about MS, much less researching it, so I'm sort of taking that on. She's just started Copaxone, no other drugs for now.

I'm reasonably scientifically literate, with a smattering of knowledge of physiology & nutrition, for example. I'm only a couple months into this process so far, still sorting things out. Currently I'm curious about LDN, and even the Wheldon hypothesis, though that's mostly because I just heard about it today! Mostly I try to ask many, many questions (most of which I manage to answer myself, or I would outpost everyone on the forum!).
