Hi Lin.
Welcome to the family. What a day, huh?
I'm sorry you find yourself needing to be here, but this is a good site with good people and LOTS of info.
Again, welcome.

Welcome to the family but sorry you find yourself here! After the initial emotions you will get a handle on this. I found what really helped was to learn as much as possible. It can be overwhelming but take it one step at a time.

I know how hard it is when you are first diagnosed. Sorry you had to look for us here, but this site has been very helpful to me over the years. Know that you are not alone, there are many great people (from all over the world) that use this site that are always ready to help with a question. Hang in there, take your time, do some research on the site. I find I often come here when I am looking for some positive information.

Hi Lin

So sorry that you find yourself here - it is very hard, especially in the beginning. Sometimes it is easier, and sometimes it is still hard, but what really helped me was to communicate with others on this site (many of them know more than my doc, and are certainly more approachable!), to read and learn, and to know that there are many more people out there who are in the same boat.
I really hope that things go well for you and that with time you will come to terms with this - welcome to the site!

Hi Lin.

You will be fine. Day 1 is interesting. Some, like myself, were "relieved" to finally have a diagnosis and something to fight. Others get bewildered and depressed.

Hang in there. Get informed and fight MS as best you can. You can do it :)
