I am on LDN for one month now and have had positive results.
My legs feel stronger and have more energy.

Since there are MS trials showing positive results with statins or cholesterol drugs (Lipitor, Zocor) and Estriol a female hormone and Testosterone for men, I was wondering if anyone was on them also.

1. Are you on LDN?
2. Are you on a statin?
If so, which one? How long? What dose?
3. For women and men?
Are you on any type of hormone?
Which one? What dose? How long?

4. Has anyone on LDN noticed any difference in body temperature?
I swim in an 80 degree pool 3 times a week and seem to get chilled more and shiver a lot since I'm on LDN.

I am not on LDN. 57, recently dx'd; on Lipitor @ 80 mg for 3 mos. (prescribed at my request by primary care doc for high cholesterol); Avonex for 6 weeks; trying to get back on HRT (specifically Estriol) because of the UCLA study and believe I had this "relapse" leading to diagnosis because they took me off HRT.

I also exercise in a 90 degree+ therapeutic pool and find tremendous benefit from that!

Thanks for your reply. I am 50yrs. old and had MS for 14 years now. I got my first symptom 14 years ago shortly after I got off the pill and like you feel this triggered my attack. I just started a topical cream which is progesterone, estriol and a small amount of estradiol and hope it helps MS and hot flashes.

My cholesterol is very good (175 total with HDL of 79) so I cannot go on statins.

Good luck and I bet the 80 mg of statin will help you a lot with the MS and cholesterol.

I am on a statin (zocor) and have been for just a couple of months. I am currently trying to find someone to prescribe LDN. Is there any reason not to be on them both?

I am 57 and took my self off all HRT 16 months ago. Haven't read the UCLA study, just seen news about it on these chat rooms.

Good luck.

Thank you for the site reference. If I read this correctly, the treatment was not necessarily successful for SP MS? Could someone verify that is true?
